· Needs Assessment:
Prior to the bidding process we like to meet with our clients and get to know them on a personal level. This helps us to properly access the needs of our client. By doing so we are able to most accurately price the individual prices of the items that together form the successful end product that the client wants and deserves.
· Environmental Sensitivity:
Western Companies was established in the beautiful White Mountains of Arizona and prides themselves on their preservation and sensitivity to each projects natural beauty. We are steadfast in our approach and protection of the environment working with ADEQ and EPA in order to accomplish that standard and precedence.
· Value Engineering:
Each project is unique. We know this, and as we keep this in mind we can look at the project plans and specifications from a different stand point, the client’s. As the old saying goes “There’s more than one way to skin a cat” and many times we are able to design certain elements of a project that in turn save the client significant amounts of money.
· Quality:
We aren’t always the least expensive contractor in the bidding process, but we are very rarely exceeded in quality of workmanship. This more often than not saves the client time which in turn saves money. We have built our name and reputation on quality, we live in a small community where we do a majority of our work. A bad name here will put you out of business on short order. Most of our projects come from repeat customers because of their satisfaction and confidence in our ability to perform. You can find information proving this in the “references” section of this booklet.
· Integrity:
Integrity is a word not to be taken lightly these days with so many scam artists out there in the business world. We like to build lasting relationships with our clients based on the simple principle, say what you’ll do and do what you say.
· Positive Proactive Approach:
Every project inevitably comes with problems. We like to think of these problems as challenges. By keeping a positive attitude we are able to think clearly about practical solutions and are always able to rise to the occasion. Invariably the difference between a good and bad experience lies simply in a good attitude.
· Project Safety:
At Western Companies all of our employees are trained in strict safety guidelines and must pass a pre-employment and random drug test. We do a risk assessment on each project daily and have a morning safety meeting conveying safety concerns to the employees for both their safety and the safety of the public. Employees are subject to periodic OSHA and MSHA training. We have a zero tolerance safety policy. At Western Companies, safety is first.
· Public Safety:
We analyze each project to best suit the needs of the client and public in a safe manner. Whenever a project will interface with the public a computerized traffic control plan is deigned. Thereafter the plan is implemented by our safety officer and and his team including a 2 former employees of A.D.O.T. who have years of traffic control experience.
Another goal of the traffic control planning is to provide minimal impact on the local public. By performing construction activities quickly and giving the least discomfort to the public, we are able to keep a positive attitude with community members about the project. This is just another step that in the long run leads to success.
